Does anyone know of a script, batch file, or executable that will allow you to complete a find and replace in the registry without opening "regedit"?
I am trying to automate the changing of a computer name, however I have found that some pieces of software reference the computer name elsewhere in the registy. Therefore, if you change just the key(s) that directly refer to the computer name, those other keys will continue to reference the old name.
