OS: NetWare 6.5
CPU/Ram: Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.2
Product: DELL 1950
Comment:

Files being saved from the client to NetWare 6.5 server are being saved in UTC time rather than preferred AKST time. However, when opening up startx and creating a file through the NetWare GUI (on the server) it displays the correct file creation time.
I have duplicated this problem on multiple clients...so it isn't related to one computer. Also, all of our servers are reporting to be insync with each other. No other servers are experiencing this problem.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Maybe you can solve this problem by changing some configurations in the Netware Client at the workstation.

Please read this at the Novell Support Website

Good luck ...

Thanks, but the problem shouldn't lie in the client, as I can save files to all of our other NetWare 6.5 servers (from the same client), and all is fine.

All of our servers are running Netware 6.5 SP5.

I'm pondering whether to upgrade this server to SP6..but don't know if it will fix the problem.

Fix was to

Turn off the IgnoreTimeZone parameter in NSS.

nss /NoIgnoreTimeZone

All previous files now reflect the correct time...which was nice...! :-)
No dismounting NSS or restarting the server....simple command line parameter..and POW! Done!
