hi hope someone can help. we have ahd the same problem on this laptop for the past 6week and it is really doing our heads in here! we have got version 4.81 and is currently on a laptop, we have a number of pc heres on a network all using the same thing, BUT the lap top is on Windows NT which is playing up. thanks

sorry, it comes up with "the tree or server cannot be found, please try a different tree of server" its doing our heads in like, we have tried alsorts to change this but nothing works, it is on a laptop with windows nt on. HELP :) ta

This could be for a number of reasons :o( Does NT connect to the network OK? If not the netcard cofig may need to be checked. Plus network cabling. If it's attached to a docking station - could be the problem. When the NWclient installed were you warned about a 3rd party gina authenticator - if so did you install it - we have problems if we don't. May want to remove and reinstall to check. Did you type the name of the server/tree in if let the client search for them - may be a typo. Is IPX/SPX installed? (didn't say which ver of novell you're running) is the network address correct - delete it and let it set itself (00000025 default) we have found that we need to manually set this on laptops, just needs to be unique. Is the frame setting correct 802.2 802.3 auto etc. Might help to set default protocol on the client properties to IPX. Failing all of these you could set up gateway services for netware instead of the client and map the drives needed (although will throw up errors when used off line).

where do i changed the net config things at? we have novell client 3.12. i have changed the frmae settings, and things like that and played around with settings and still no joy. it dont matter mate, ill scrap the get! lol na only jokin! ill find out wat rong with it, after all im only 17, working in a IT firm, so it wont be that hard?!?! lol hahaha cheers anyway
