Does anyone know if it's possible to dual boot Netware 5.1 and Windows XP. I'm planning on setting up Netware 5.1 to train on and use WinXP as the regular OS. My current desktop configuration is:
Processor: PII 300Mhz
RAM: 192MB
First Hard Drive: 40GB
Second Hard Drive: 8.6GBI've dual booted with Win2K Server and Win98 before, but not with Netware5.1. I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Is there a way to set this up without buying software like System Commander from V Communications. Can anyone help me out?

Dear ,
First install dos & than install n/w 5 & make some space free while u will create n/w partition & than install xp in this free space using ntfs or fat partition.
if any query please mail me.Mukesh

Dave,
Personally i dont like mixing old dos fat 12 and fat 16 partitions with ntfs (winxp) volumes on the same hard drive. Files tend to act very strange. With winxp as your primary pc platform you could have potential problems if a virus where to be downloaded from the internet and corrupt your partitions. Plus when winxp blows up your hard drive you will lose all the configurations you set up in novell. Novell is a pain to configure so you only want to do it once. Here is what i would do:
Install Win Xp on one drive and Novell on the other. Better yet install novell on a hd in a another comp. That way you can network the two and practice logging into the novell server with Rconsole and all the other neat utils novell has. You'll also get a chance to see how slow the client for novell is for win2000/xp. For novell 5.1 you shouldnt need more than a 20 gig drive depending on what modules you are planning on installing.
Good Luck
