Comment: It is recommended the in NW 6.0 the DOS partition be equal to the amount of RAM plus 200 MB. Now how does one tell DOS to make a partition that large.

Reply: (edit)One would use fdisk which is the partitioning tool in Dos. I think there is a How To here on using fdisk. If not post back.

Reply: (edit)Thanks for the reply Wanderer, I am sorry if I was not clear in asking the question. What I meant to ask was how to create a DOS partition to accomodate the space needed (I hope never)for a "core dump" of 4 GB of RAM and 200 MB needed by NW 6.0.

Reply: (edit)Perhaps I am missing your question. You would use fdisk to create a 4200meg partition. You would use format to format it. Then you would do your server install.
