Hi I have a P1-75, 32MB computer with DOS 6.2 as O/S. DLink DE250 NIC. Our server is running at NW4.11. Last week this computer's harddrive was wiped out, so I had to reinstall DOS and NW Client. I could only find driver for DE220 and I installed and tried at my "working area" and everything was working, login fine. Then I returned the computer to where it was from, another location on the shop floor. It says "can not find server" and won't go to F: Drive. The network cable is connected, and I can see green light on the back of NIC. Please help me, any sugguestions are greatly appreciated.

Shan take the computer back to the working area and if the computer can log's in etc check the lan lites on the back of the nic card - I think you should see two lites - then back to the shop floor w the computer if you dont see two lites then replace the cable to the wall jack as the trouble is in the network segment you are on (as the computer worked in the shop area) also see if other computers in that area are working

And make sure your net.cfg file references the frame type, port number, and LAN protocol correctly. Also, check to see if you have a Preferred Server line included.
