There is this crazy ~wrt742.tmp, 2MB file lying in this users home directory. This file has a hidden attribute set and whenever I try to mark it up and delete it, the machine hangs. I cannot see this file using filer or Nwadmin32. Only if I map to this users Home directory and select "view all files", I am able to see this file. How am I suppose to delete it? What could this file possibly be and how did it come into being. Any ideas?

sounds like a temp file that is being created by some software the user is running. You should be able to delete it if the user is logged out. I should disappear when the user logs out.
