Copy long filenames

Hi,
Is there a way to copy long filenames from one volume to another volume on the same server (nw 4.11 sp9)? I have long name spaces loaded. When I copy using ncopy, the dos filename is copied to the new volume.

I'm a little confused (what's new). You say "When I copy using ncopy, the dos filename is copied to the new volume". Then isn't Ncopy doing what you want to do? Or did you mean that "Ncopy is NOT copying to the new volume" and it is just a typo? I just want to be sure that I am reading your post correctly.

I'm trying to get the long filename on the new volume. For example, the filename on vol1 is "Coal Inventory.xls". When I copy it to vol2, the filename is "coalinve.xls".
Thanks.

Last question, I promise. What is the WS OS you are doing the Ncopy from, and the NW Client version? Also what is the exact statement you are loading to allow LFN's?

The Win OS I'm copying from is Windows NT 4.0 with a NW client ver. 4.60.202. The statement I'm using to allow lfn's is : ADD NAME SPACE LONG TO VOLUME VOL2 .
