Are you able to authenticate Windows XP to a Novell Netware 3.x server??? I have a client that just bought a new desktop with XP and wants to access their OLD Novell Netware 3.x server. Can this be done with microsoft Client for Novell, or do I need to use the Novell Client for Netware Networks, if so what version of the novell client.

I have not checked but if the Microsoft NetWare client is still in XP it should work to connect to a NW 3.x box. If it is not avail. you probably can d/l a client from novell.com and set it up to connect to the server. This will be a bindery connection not NDS (Novell Directory Services started with NW 4.x) Hope this helps! Scott

You can access netware 3.2 if you install the netware client that comes with XP. I do not have the XP box here (and it is the German version anyway) to give you precise directions but the procedure is about as follows: You have to get a list of your network connections in system settings. Click with the right button to get properties. You will see a client for microsoft networks. Click install and you will be offered the client services for netware.
