in my network a novell netware server is installed version is 4.12, all clients are diskless nodes, with boot rom , i mistakenly edited my admin user's scritpt but again copied the script from another user who also running the same script,from afterwords when i loged to novell server uing admin user and lanched my apllication in dos when exited from the application a message will show "command.com missing or insert flopy in drive A . but i will not get this error when i login with another user .

check the comspec settings in the login script (sys:\public\net$log.dat)
*sample script: note map s2 and comspec linesMAP G:=SYS:PUBLIC\
MAP L:=SYS:LOGIN\
MAP H:=SYS:HOME\%LOGIN_NAME
MAP I:=SYS:
MAP J:=GEN:
MAP S1:=SYS:PUBLIC\MAP S2:=SYS:PUBLIC\%MACHINE\%OS\%OS_VERSION
COMSPEC=S2:COMMAND.COMMAP S3:=SYS:HOME\%LOGIN_NAME
MAP S4:=GEN:WINDOWS
MAP S5:=SYS:NC
DRIVE H:
when you exit a program, it looks to comspec to see where the pc boot version of command.com is to reload dos. It is relative to the version of dos each pc boots from, you need a directory and a copy of command.com for each version of dos used in the network, i.e., 3.3, 5.0, 6.2 and so on, example directory structure is:
\\server\sys:public\IBM_PC\MSDOS\V6.22
hope this helps

i don't believe that your sarch path name is correct
please use the following syntax :
map s2=yourservername/volumename:pathtocommand.com
and than
commspec=s2:command.com fits again ! :-)regards
