hi,
I want to know how to change the IP address of the netware 4.11 server knowing that I already made these steps: Load inetcfg, Protocols, TCP/IP , enabled, then ESc yes, then BINding, INS key, TCPIP, then I assgin both IP address and netmask in decimal i.e.: 10.248.31.1 and mask:255.255.255.0 then restart the server. How did I know that these settings were correctly applied? I tried to PING the server from a PC having the same netmask and having an address of 10.248.31.151 but no response was receivng from the server. Anyone knows?? thanks

To see what IP address the server 'thinks' it has, type CONFIG from the console prompt.

Can you ping the workstation from the server?
(LOAD PING from the server console).

HTH

Doug
