Change IP address under NetWare 3.1

I've got a client with an old NetWare 3.12 box. They need to change the IP address, and nobody has any idea how... :-) A link to a step-by-step would be very nice, as I don't remember anything about Novell. Also, if any sort of password or administrator-level access is required, is there any way to back-door or recover that, as I have no idea if anyone would remember anything like that.

You need supervisor rights. Go into the System Console (syscon in a DOS/CMD window). Choose Supervisor options, Edit Autoexec.ncf.

Look for a line similar to the following:

BIND IP TO COGENT_IP ADDR=192.168.1.114 MASK=255.255.255.0

Change the ADDR= part to the desired IP address and the netmask if required.

Save the changes if prompted. Down the server, and then reboot it.
