My computer is using Novell Netware 3.12 server and many windows98 as workstation. Every computer can share its folder and printer easily using "File sharing for Netware network" with the user list downloaded form the Novell server.
However something is going wrong when a new computer with win2kpro installed in the Novell Network. The new computer can access Novell server successfully by installing "Client Servie for Netware". However Every win98 computer can access win2kpro folder by using "File sharing for MS Network" when the rights is set as "Everyone"(No user list is downloaded in win2k!!!!). Moreover the win2kpro machine cannot access all win98 machines even direct type \\computername . I have tried to put all computers in the same group and I can see all win98 machines are in the same gorup but win2k is in other group with the same gorup name through my win98 machine. The win2k machine still can not see the win98.
What is the problem on setting the network? win98 can commuinicate with win2k but win2k can communicate with win98 in Novell 3.12? How can i download the user list from Novell 3.12 for setting permission?Hope you can help me
Best wishes,
Swiri
