Cannot save Files with Photoshop on a Novell Server-network drive

we cannot "save as" files under photoshop on a novell network drive. Error Messge: the file is already in use or openend by another user. Checking the file status under novell with monitor shows, that the working user is the only one with access to the file. The user is working locally as administrator under NT and normal user in the network. Doing the same work on a NT Network drive is working fine without problems. Environment *********** Workstation: Dell Optiplex GX110, 800 MHz, Pentium III, onboard 3com Etherlink 100 MBit/s (cat.5 attached), Half Duplex Windows NT Workstation 4.0, German, Service Pack 8a, Novell Netware Cleint for NT Verion 4.60 SP2 Photoshop 5.5, German Server: Dell Poweredge 2400, Intel 1 GBit/s Network Card (FO attached), RAID-5, Novell Netware 4.11 SP8a Network: Cisco 3548, 3512 and 3508 Switches

my friend:
Don't save "AS" instead try this
FiLE-SAVE AS COPY-
Then select you extension and save it.
Also look at the properties of the file you work on, it may be READ ONLY.
