We have lost the ability to delete - and in some cases create - files on our network drives. This problem has only evidenced itself on Windows NT workstations. We run a Novell 4.11 network, patched to SP8A. We have been using Novell Client 4.6 for NT. Early research indicated that updating our client version would fix the problem. I have patched NT Client 4.6 to SP2, I have tried NT Client 4.7 and 4.8. None have worked.
I have tried to delete files from Netware Admin, logged in with full admin rights, and receive either error 35327 or 202:0x898E
Any advice is much appreciated.

Go to http://support.novell.com/ and search for TID 10018189 or 10020692
Also, if you have any antivirus software, disable it.
This may help get you on the right track.

try this one, found at http://support.novell.com/search/kb_index.htm
according to Novell's TID 10020692:
Fact
Novell NetWare 4.11 SP6
--------------------------
Symptom
When trying to delete or rename a file, on a NetWare volume, an error message is returned.Error: This file can not be deleted error 35327
----------------------------------
Cause
The file is currently in use by someone on the network.
----------------------------------
Fix
Load Monitor from the server console. Select File open/lock activity. Drill down through the file system until you select the file, and then select the file and press enter. This will return a list of all the connections currently attached to the file. You can then contact the connection creator to disconnect from the file.Note:
Clearing the connections in most instance will not allow for the file to be removed, as the NetWare client will Autoreconnect to server.
