Cannot cannect to Netware 4.11 via IP

And I've got the server configured for IP - can even ping it. But the client does not see it.

Netware 4.x's core protocol is IPX. You cannot connect to a netware server's file system or authenticate via TCP/IP. TCP/IP is used however for client-server apps that run on a NW server, web services, also for SNMP, routing and things like that. (which is why you can ping it.) For IP compatibility, use NW 5.x or above.
