Comment:

A company came to us stating that after a power outage to the area, they could not access any of the stored information on their Netware 5.0 server.

My question is: Is there a comparable boot CD such as BartPE or UBCD4Win for Netware 5.0, or at least a data recovery program that would work on this OS?

This is detrimental information to this company and they have no backups.

Thanks in advance,

Shannon

First of all, did the server start up and have you checked the /etc/console.log file for errors during the boot process?
If there is a problem on the file system, you can dismount the volumes and check them via vrepair (volume repair).
This little program is stored at the volume sys and must be loaded before dismounting volume sys.
Also make shure, that the module for the used "name space" is loaded, e.g. vlong.

When finished, mount sys and reboot server and see what happens.
