"But it was FINE yesterday!" I run an
AMD-K6/300 with 64mb ram. Bios 1.0a.
This morning: boot disk failure.
Messages from CMOS that I echo as I
boot tell me that neither the Primary
master, Primary Slave or Secondary
Master or Slave, are visible. Of course,
booting from a system disk, I do not see
C: Cables are fine, well-seated. No dust.
Is this a Controller problem?

If this happened all of the sudden, swith DIfferent Peripherals in the IDE BUS.

If your config is

IDE 0 = HDD

IDE 1 = CDROM

Try to switch them around.....

Set the bios not to halt on errors

DO a cold boot, instead of a restart./

TRY THAT.
