pls help me to find the basic commands and techniques to operate novell.i am in the novel server... the only command i know is LOAD MONITOR. if i exit it i will go to the prompt. i want to run the tc.exe in sys\tccp\bin\tc.exe pls tell me the procedure to do it

You cannot run programs like that on a novell server. It is a dedicated network server, not a workstation.

type "help" without the quotes at the prompt...
You'll get pretty much all basic commands

If you want to know if the IPX protocol is active you can go to where the information on the network connection is located. On a Win 2K WS look in START\SETTINGS\CONTROL PANEL\NETWORK & DIALUP CONNECTIONS\LOCAL AREA CONNECTIONS\PROPERTIES. There you will see what protocols are checked to be bound to the NIC.
If you want to check for protocol integrity and you have IPX as your primary protocol on the NW Server, just log into the Server with a NW Client running the IPX protocol.
