Backing up netware 6 with arcserve 7

Comment:
We recently upgraded from netware 4.1 to netware 6.0. after the upgrade arcserve 7 was able to back up our first server which has the actual back up scsi connection to the tape. but when we try to back up the second server the server hangs and we have to reboot the servers, we found that we can back up some of the volumes, but not all, and it's never the same volumes that we can back up or not back up. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What ArcServe Agents do you have loaded on the servers? At a minimum you need TSAxxx and OFA on the remotes.

So you are running the OFA and TSA? If you are, the only other question is what is on the servers you are backing up? I use ArcServe for 54 NW 5.1 boxes and never have ran into what you are describing. Some volumes yes, some volumes no.
