Hiya guys...
Was trying to do a manual logon to NDS and autologon to Windows 2000
station using Novell Client 4.83 on WinXP pro, using Autoadmin login feature as described in Technical ID of Novell:10052847 and also 10067934.htm.Everything went on fine until I changed the registry setting:
HKLM\Software\.....\Winlogon\ForceAutologon=1Now the user that does autologon to Windows is not an Admin equivalent or
a Power User.You guessed it....!!
How do I relogin as Administrator locally. I can't seem to get there. Even
the registry is locked and I can't make changes.Any ideas...???

go to control panel->users and password.
It should ask you the admin password, then you can make your user an administrator.hope this helps.

I know what you mean.
What I did was create a Registry entry file(.reg) in Notepad with the autologon registry entries, but I changed either the DefaultUser or the DefaultPassword, so that it can't autologon and asks for a password. then i just did the manual logon as administrator. I also have another registry file that has the correct autologon entries and i just run this one after i have done what i needed to as administrator.
PS. I have the Registry entry files on a Floppy so that I can take them from comp to comp. I do this because i am on a network and i have lots of machines to do.Hope this helps
