Hi all, I am using Novell Client 4.91 SP4 with Zenworks 7 SP1 on
Windows XP SP2. I had everything setup so that no matter who logged
into Novell, they were auto-logged into the same local account. (By
using the registry setting AutoAdminLogon = 1, DefaultUserName =
WindowsUserName, DefaultPassword = WinAccountPassword, and
AutoAdminQueryNDS = 1.

All of a sudden, every time someone logs into Novell, the Windows log-
in box comes up when it tries to auto-log-in to Windows, stating that
the password do not match, and I have to enter the windows password
for the account that is being auto-logged in. Any idea why this would
happen and what I can do to fix it?

Thanks for any help, and let me know if you need any more information.

Login name for both, windows and novell must be the same to make it work.

It had been working just fine originally. I tried it with about 10 different accounts, all of which also had different password. All of them were logged into the same Windows account automatically without getting the Windows Workstation log-in pop-up. It broke after running the Universal Imaging Utility on it to prepare it as an image for various hardware platforms. All of my registry keys look the same as they were though, so I can't tell what actually broke it.

Have you tried this little tool from the novell cool solutions page to recreate the autologon?

You'll find this tool here:

Thanks for the link; that looks interesting. My only concern is that it says it will auto-login to both the network and windows. Can I set it up so that it will not auto-login to Novell, just windows? Thanks for your help!

On the download page you'll find a screenshot.
There is a drop down field, where you can choose
what kind of auto login you'd like to use.

Just tried it; same problem as before. It goes to login to the right Windows account but I still get the pop-up to fill in the password even though the default password is filled out in the registry :-(

Is there also installed a microsoft client and is it needed for microsoft " :-) network :-) " ?
Sorry, but mircrosoft and network is a joke.

Anyway, are you using both, netware network and microsoft network?

So if you don't really need the microsoft client, it should be deinstalled.

And take a look at the network cards and bindings and their order.
