I have Windows 2000 Pro machines on a Novell 4.11 network, I want to be able to auto logon the W2K portion but still be prompted for the Novell logon.
I know how to set W2K auto logon but when I set it i am not prompted with my Novell client logon box, it just goes directly to the workstation.
How do I get the Novell logon????

Just a guess, but have you tried putting loginw32.exe in your Startup folder. This should force the Netware login to run after the workstation login.

I am not the orignal poster of this thread but...
I tried putting the login in the startup also for an XP machine (see my question above on the same issue). This worked but then the problem was if you did a logout of the machine, you were reprompted for a Windows workstation login. We are trying to do the same thing - have the Novell client pop up and verify our Novell users without a workstation prompt.

I am original poster, tried this but have same issue as P Mancine, When I find a solution I will post it.

Have you looked at the "Ultimate AutoAdminLogon" document on Novell's site? It appears to describe what you want to do, though I could be wrong.

I have Win 2000 server ,i want it to auto matically logon whenevere it restart,i m able to do it in nt4.0 through registry but not getting in win2000.

Install ZenWorks. You can get the starter pack for free.
There is an option in Zenworks to administer the Windows 2000 user account.
Zenworks enables you to set the name that will be logged in to W2K and even add groups that the user will be logged in as, ie Guest, users, Administrators etc.
This way, the novell login dialogue is shown, but users never get to see the damn windows 2000 login prompt.
If you need more info email me.
