I have been running backups with ArcserveIT 6.6 for 3 years on 3 Netware 5.1 servers. Recently I've noticed that the 100% backup is not anywhere near 100%. I just did a sys volume of 600+ MB that took 14 minutes and has 11k in the backup. Nothing lists in the media view of restore. Any ideas why Arcserve would say "all is well" when it obviously is not? We also run AS 6.6 and have seen the same problem, along with many others. AS's knowledbase nor Tech support has been of any use. We fixed the problem (do not remember how right now) only to see it come back. With the importance of backups within our organization, we are now turning to Veritas as our backup solution. We have been fighting AS to long now (5 years) and are probably thankful that we have not had to count on it for a major type recovery. Ever since Computer Associates has had ownership they have turned what use to be a very stable piece of backup software into a piece of crap. If @ all possible I would suggest that you look elswhere for a backup solution. You will spend more man hours trying to run down problems than what the product is worth. V-Peace-V

yes, we experience a similar pb with v7 (win&netware), at the end it seems that arcserve don't backup system files(ex:dll)... like Underdog i'll suggest you try another bckp soft.
