Comment:

I just added two 36GB HDD to our server. These HDDs show up in MONITOR and also with List Devices command on the console prompt. I am unable to use these drives for storage as I cannot define the free space as NSS volumes. I need to add new volumes as well as resize some existing volumes to use the space. Please let me know how to procees.

Thank you.

That is exactly my problem. There is no free space available when I try to assign ownership( NSS Disk Options in NWCONFIG).
Thanks and regards.

which kind of hdd'S do you use ?
are you able to see free space in the traditional partition tool ?
if not which driver version do you use ?
perhaps you need actual drivers.

I'm using SCSI HDDs. The first one is a 20GB one and the two new ones are 36GBs. I cannot see free space in the traditional tool either. The SCSI controller driver is the onesupplied by the manufacturer. The "LIST DEVICES" command comes up with all three HDDs.

although it seems to be a problem of the drivers. which sp is installed ? sp6a is the most actual. it is possible that the scsihd.cdm nbi.nlm ... etc need to be updated.

No service packs have been installed. I'll try to put the sp and see how it turns out.

Thanks
