Hallo Novell Fans,
I have a big trouble. Some of my Servers, we have 55 Servers at all, make an automaticly reboot at 4:00 am. In the abend.log file I see that the errors occurs by httptsk.nlm. The last process ist an "Outbound mail process". I think that this process is initiate by the portal health monitor. I have activate all the notify check boxes to get information from all servers to my mailbox. But I don't understand why the servers excactly boot at 4:00 am. Have anybody an idea? Is there a internal job running on Netware 5.1?
Some more Infos:
The Servers are distributed in several locations and connected by WAN-links (Cisco Routers)
On all Servers running the following tasks.
Netware 5.1 SP5 with DS8.82
DHCP
DNS
DPTCOM (Adaptec Raid Manager)
Backup Exec 8.5
GroupWise 5.5 SP5
NDPS Manager / Broker
McAfee Netshield
APC Powerchute Plus (UPS)
ZEN-Works Imaging
ZEN-Works Inventory Database
Portal Services

Check your entries for:
SYS:ETC\CRONLOG.
SYS:ETC\CRONTAB.you can place jobs in CRONTAB to have them execute on certain days or at certain times.
eg
# Restart server at 10pm
0 22 7 10 * restart serverwill restart the server at 10pm on the 7th Oct every year.
SYNTAX: min hour day month year command
all fields apart from command are numerical. an * indicates every.
# allows you to place a comment (good idea)CRONLOG will show when CRON has invoked CRONTAB
