4.11 client 32 Login crashes win 2000

If I replace my win client with novell 4.8, 4.7 32 bit client any attempt to login to server causes hard reboot on win 2000 client. I have tried a brand new 4.11 install but still same problem. I also tried on win 95 client with repective 32 bit client to same effect can anyone help. I notice that novell talks about a client 32 directory but I cannot find one on the server.
