Hi all! I'm trying to install Netware4.11 on a Dell PowerEdge1550 server. The Problem is: Everytime I load "adpt160m.ham" for the Adpatec7899 Ultra160 SCSI-host during install the server gets awful slow and hangs after a few minutes (ABEND:...A problem occurred in module adpt160m.ham). Additional modules loaded: nbi - version 2.25 sgscsi - 1.00 nwaspi - 3.20 dellsep - 1.00 (backplane) adpt160m - 14.00 nwpa - 2.36 idecd - 1.00 ideata - 1.21 msm - 3.98 ethertsm - 3.81 ce100b - 2.20 (Intel 100+ NIC) + rest (keyb, unicode, ds , dsloader, nwsnut, install, icmd, timesync, diag411) While installing the driver's files a warning message appears, saying: "nwpaload would downgrade existing file! Overwrite Continue? I left the "older" file. Do you have any ideas or did you encounter similar problems with an Adaptec7899? Martin

Upgrade the firmware on all of your hardware...the Dell, the card, the scsi controller, everything. Then, apply SP8A or SP9... Then try adding your .ham driver, but ensure it is the latest....
