write cloned data to cd on osx

does anyone know how to write a cloned data to cd on osx. carbon copy cloner only write to hard drive only. The problem is that I lost my original disk for one of my applications but I still have a disk image of it, I copied the disk image to cd for backup but when I try to install from the cd , it won't work.

I used disk copy to create a disk image from the original app cd , after I burnt the disk image to a cd , i tried to intall from the cd but the installer does'nt work, but I can install from the same disk image on my desktop with no problem.
