I have a strange problem. I'm running
Word 2001 on a Mac G3 with Os 9.2.2. My
problem is this, some documents i try to
print out (all from another source via
e-mail) wont print out. Here is what
happens.I open the document and try to send it to
one of my networked printers (either a
Laserjet 4000 N, or a Laserjet 4Si) My
desktop printer icon shows the document
is sent. But in the end, nothing comes
out. It seems to me like it picks
completely random documents, and i
dont know what the problem is. (Even
stranger is I can bring the same
documents to another computer and it
will print fine on the same printers.) I've
already reinstalled the laserwriter8 driver,
i've reinstalled word, and even reinstalled
my fonts. Does anyone know what could
be the problem?
On the advice of a friend, i turned on
postscript error message and got this
when i tried to print out one of the
documents.
ERROR: syntaxerror
OFFENDING COMMAND: --nostringval--

I have WORD 98, a MAC G3/266, OS 9.2.2 and my printer is an HP DeskJet 855C, and I have the same problem. My printer would print a page once in a while, now it won't print at all. My message is:
WORD CANNOT PRINT. PLEASE SELECT A PRINTER FROM THE CHOOSER.
I reloaded the new printer driver 9.4 for OS 9.2.2 and selected the printer in the CHOOSER and it still gives me the same message and won't print. I'm not sure that it's WORD. It may be OS 9.2.2. I'm just not sure.Did you get your problem solved yet? If so, what was the problem?
