Comment: Hello, Ive got a booting problem, yesterday ive installed OSX.3 (from 10.2.4) and after reboot it did not start -up, I get at the grey screen (apple with swirly thingie) and it stays there. Ive tried everything, booting from cd (with c and with cmd-opt-shift-delete) but it does'nt boot ive tried 5 different CD's (imac, g4 powerbook, 10.2, 10.3). I zapped the PRAM and the NVram. I'm out of options. Suggestions are welcome. Thanx in advance

Reply: (edit)I had that same problem, that it wouldn't boot from the cd. The SCSI drivers are bad. They aren't recognizing the cd drive. Put the install disk in. Go to apple menu, control panels. Go to startup. Highlight the cd to change the startup type. Reboot the computer and you should be able to get back in. I can't remember exactly where it was, but I believe I went into the utility file, SCSI and reinstalled them fr

Reply: (edit)Put the system install disk in. Go to apple menu, control panels, startup. Highlight the cd. Restart the comp, but don't hold down the c key. In boot menu, go to utility folder, SCSI. Highlight the harddrive. Go to function, update drivers. You may want to run Disk First Aid in the utility folder also. Change the startup type back to harddrive and restart.

Reply: (edit)I just had to do this myself. Apparently, an application program I installed caused a system conflict and messed up the drivers. Grrrr.
