Concerning the new mac commercials...in one ad the mac states it doesn't get viruses. In another ad the mac states it can run windows software. Is the mac immune from windows based viruses? Does the mac run MacWindows or is it pure Microsoft code that is just as susceptible to pc viruses? I imagine the virus immunity is to mac programs only, but I'd like to be sure before buying one.

The Mac can't get viruses now. There are no viruses that can
affect an OS X system.

You can install and run WindowsXP on a new Intel Mac, either
by using Apple's BootCamp (free) and dual boot with it, or
Parallels WorkStation (not Free) and run OS X and XP side by
side with that.

PC viruses can affect the Windows system on a Mac, just as a
PC, but not the Mac system.
