I have a powerG4 500mhz with 1 gig pc133 ram that will not power up unless I press the reset button near the pram battery. Any ideas about fixing this. I have replaced the pram battery already and no change. It will restart once the system is up but will not cold boot with out the reset.

Have you made sure the firmware is up to date? Have you tried resetting the motherboard according to Apple's instructions? (They're in the KBase - search for "reset G4" and that should find it.)
