Hello y'all..I just upgraded a few months ago to 10.39, and all seems fine except for some apps that no longer run , such as my old workhorse soundedit 16 (no sound anymore in classic, which kinda sucks for audio editing).
I found a few possible replacements, but it seems that with all of them, and most notably soundstudio, which from all I've been able to gather, is the closest substitute..however, it seems that the developers of this (like so many others) are bullying everyone into requiring 10.4 minimum, despite an earlier version of a few months ago being available for 10.39...versiontracker is no help, as usual, because no matter which version you choose to download it still grabs the newest..
I'd like to point out that this is *not* some new app built from the ground up for 10.4, but just one that has had earlier versions arbitrarily removed..
Even if I could stand being 'bullied' into upgrading, i have a G3 and 10.4 would be too sluggish ..
I have managed to buy or find freeware/shareware substitutes for all the other apps I've needed to replace..but this one eludes me ..it does seem that 3.01 was the last to support 10.39..I don't know how long it was out tho as felttip seem to change version numbers every week now.
Anyone now where I might find a copy?
They may not offer it on their site anymore but you can bet your bottom dollar they'll take a registration fee (ie I can make it functional).
ps..please don't suggest audacity..ive tried it for a fair while and it's 'wrong' on so many levels.....
Thanx!
