OK I would like to know whats the dieffernce between Mac and Windows Hardware.
If I can run linux on windows hardware can I run Mac on windows hardware?

Hi
Maybe there is something you didn't understand. Windows is *no* hardware.
Maybe you are talking about the difference between a Mac and a PC (one based on a ppc (correct me if I'm wrong) and the other based on Intel (or compatible) architecture)...
You can run Linux on 13 differents architectures including Mac and PC.
You can run Mac software on PC hardware using an emulator, but chances are you need to have a Mac ROM.
Hugo

mac operating systems are designed for the mac
windows operating systems are designed for pc hardware ( actually windows use to support RISC based processors for a while i think then someone pissed them off and away that went, too bad too becasue i would say that 2000 would kick butt on a RISC based system)
linux is designed to be run on all types of hardware architecture, often you have to download/buy the correct version for the architecture you are on. I would bet it runs on a lot more than 13 different types. One of the reasons linux can run on so many is because of the nature of open source means that i can take it and make it work on my old atari. Whereas it wouldnt make sense for a company to try and cover something so silly as a atari. Actually that is what happened recently some of the distros stopped bothering with older/weirder system support.
But one of the main differences between mac and pc is the processor. Macs use RISC(reduced instruction set computing) based processors and pcs use CISC(complex instruction set computing) based processors.
And there are other differences that have come and gone, a lot of the cool stuff we have can often be traced to originating on the mac. as far as i know, apple was behind usb, firewire, etc...
oh well i am rambling now....
and yes i use the term apple/mac very loosely
