Comment:

I bought a Power Macintosh 7100/80 the other day on a thrift store...my questions are:

1. Is it 68k or PPC??
2. Do they sell those adapters to use PC monitors on Macs on an Apple store??
3. Would they sell a keyboard or a mouse for this machine on an Apple store??
4. Would it be cheap?? about how much??
5. Can I install an iMac software restore CD with SSW 8.6 on it??

Much thanx!! ;)

1. PPC

2. Not on the Apple store online or at a real Apple store,
but probably at authorized resellers such as Jigsaw or
Computer Warehouse.

3. No. The 7100/80 uses ADB (Apple desktop bus) and
SCSI ports, not USB. For an ADB mouse and keyboard you
can search on eBay (www.ebay.com)

4. you should be able to get a keyboard and mouse from
eBay for about $10. or even less if you're lucky!

5. Yes, The 7100/80 can run up to Mac OS 9.1. , So Mac
OS 8.6 will run fine on it.

good luck. if you have any more questions then get back
to me here or via email.

2. Credit card only for those, sorry. But you can order via
mail if you manage to get their brochures. I'm sure you
can request for a brochure online.

3/4. Yep, both of those. good luck.

you only have to put in your credit card # if you are
registering to sell on eBay, but to buy you don't.

2. brochure = leaflet, flyer, magazine, etc.
You should be able to ring up or fill in a form to order
things. Not always though.

Basically everything is sold at eBay from computers,
monitors, wires, software, ANYTHING, literally.
