hi, i got a quicksilver G4 with CD-RW and 250zip drive. i want to get myself a DVD burner. what company should i look for that will work with the mac, is Sony ok since my CD-RW is sony. can i install the DVD burner instead of the zip drive? if so what will happen when i click eject on my keybord will it open both drives? also where can i get a outside door to close the hole like my CD-RW has?

The only way to go is the Pioneer 107 (or 108 for a dual layer burner).
It is recognised by OS X, and can be used with iLife.
The best way to do it would be to replace your CD-RW with the DVD burner. There is no need to keep your CD burner as the DVD burner can read/write cds and dvds. I think you might run into problems if you had them both.
I recently upgraded my b&w G3 to the Pioneer-107 burner. I simply pulled out the old CDROM drive, and put in the DVD Burner in exactly the same spot. I had absolutely NO problems.
