Virtual PC & PC App install issues

Here's the scenario . . .
I am installing Virtual PC & ACT! 4.0 for Windows on a Mac G3 OS 9.2 and am running into a ton of problems.
Virtual PC installed OK. It is soooo slow though. I tried re-installing, allocating more memory to the program, etc. No improvement. Any ideas?
Now I am trying to install the ACT! software in the PC environment. Every time I begin installation the computer freezes. Not just the Virtual PC - EVERYTHING! Any help would be very appreciated.

VPC is slow. Period. That's just how it works.
No idea on the second problem, but I'd be inclined to blame Windoze for sucking arse :)

You gotta be right. I tried installing it on a brand new G4 with tons 'o RAM and a massive hard drive (60 GB) and it didn't make a difference. VIRTUAL PC is the worst program ever invented. No doubt about it!! Thank you for the reply, senior pickle.

I would agree that virtual PC is slower than using the Mac OS... but I have it running on much lesser machines just fine.... IE: 4400, and 7200's.... I have ACT 2000 installed on both of them and running without issues.. I would personally look at your Mac OS install and your extentions running.
