How do I take footage off a VCD and put it into DVD Studio Pro 2 for editing? Please help!

I dont know what kind of format your footage is in but some formats are not supported or transfering methods such as moving directly from a vcd to prog, you might have to put your fottage on HD and then convert it to a compatable format. Also if the vcd was created with a windows machine it might not be compatible with your mac at all, I have some vcds that I made on my windows computer with nero and they wont even read on my mac, anyways hope I helped by any means I am not an expert in this field and I have not used DVD Studio PRO 2 at all but I am just speaking from my experiences with vcds on my mac.

I am not an expert on this so don't quote me, but does anyone else out there agree with my guess that when encoding a VCD the sound and video are split and may have to be put back together when copying it to the hard drive.
Perhaps if you have a look through the file structure of the VCD you may see some self explanatory folders. Only guessing though.
Summary: have you tried using the command prompt on OSX to ftp? and when you open the FTP connection before you get/put use the hash command so that you get to see if the data is actually being transfered....
