Is there anyway to use a print server (LinkSys, NetGear, etc) with a Mac? I have three PC's printing to a inkjet printer connected to a LinkSys print server. I now want to be able to have an Apple G4 access the printer also. Is this possible?
Apple's desktop print utility requires that the printer be postscript printer. Would the Epson 12xx with StylusRIP PS s/w qualify?

As long as the printer is PostScript, you can probably get it to work. Grab the Mac drivers from the Epson site and it should work fine.

Is the "print server" built-in to a router/gateway device? If so, it may not work. I have a 3Com home eth. gw with a built-in print server that can ONLY work with Windows 98, NT, 2000 or XP. It uses software to create a special-purpose port so Windoze boxes can talk to the printer. Good thing I also have a 3-port JetDirect box and/or a slew of AppleTalk, ethernet-equipped printers on hand.
If it's a standalone print server, and it's a PS printer (as the pickle noted), it should work via TCP/IP just as it does with the PCs.
