Using PCI cards in Mac 7250

I would like to expand the capabilities of my Mac 7250 by adding some cards to the three PCI slots. I know that I can add a USB card, and I have OS 8.6 to support it. Can I add a 56k PCI modem? If so, who makes one that has Mac software? What other PCI cards are available for my Mac that would be useful to me?

Well, what do you want/need to DO? Some possibles: analog to digital video conversion, digital video capture, analog to digital audio conversion, multi channel digital audio capture, 3D image mapping, etc

No 56K PCI-based Mac-compatible modems were ever made. When you add that USB card, get an external USB modem - avoid Best Data, though; they're too lazy to support their own products.
A video card is probably the best expenditure - a used Rage 128 will be quite a nice boost, and a Radeon PCI will be even better (although more expensive as well).

Thanks for all the info on PCI and USB possibilities. I intend to get a Rage card and a USB modem, as well as a USB scanner and printer. I looked on Ebay, and there are tons of Mac products that are USB or PCI, so I'm now making a list and researching the various items.
