I put a USB to Serial adapter on a 500Mhz IMAC (OS9.1)to run a HP 870Cse printer. After loading the adapter and printer software, the printer shows up in the chooser but when I try to print I get a "printer not found" error box. Also when I restart I have to rechoose the printer. The printer works fine on a 6100/60 so it is OK. BTW,the adapter is plugged into a 4port expander connected to the USB port on the side of the computer. Can anyone help ?

Maybe you should delete all your printer preferences, they may be corrupted. You seem to have a good configuration
