thanks for the vague answer dill pickle.

Iomega makes a great drive which i have been retailing. Expect to pay around $170 - $225 depending on the speed.

HPs are NOT compatible.

For that money, you might as well go with FireWire if the iMac supports it. That's *very* expensive for the terribly slow speed USB offers. (Not that burning CDs at speeds over 8x is a particularly good idea anyway.)

Interestingly, I've heard nothing *good* about the Iomega drives yet. I've heard very little positive about USB burners in general, for that matter.
