I have an old G4 400MHz that has only USB ports. I need to connect it to an external device through a PC serial port (RS232) using VirtualPC. The software for the device is only available in Windows. I have the info for the DATA IN, DATA OUT, and GROUND pins of the device (9600 bps mximum speed). I need to find info for the old serial port on the Mac (the round one for printers) and see how to connect it with an adaptor to the USB port. can anyone (Pickle) tell me where to look for info? Thanks

A google search for "Mac serial port pinout" should find what you need.

But, uh, why spend all the time trying to adapt it when you can buy an adaptor for $20-30?
