CPU/Ram: powerbook g4 400/256

i got a powerbook g4 recently and i was
wondering if i need the cds that came
with the powerbook to upgrade it, so it will
recognize the ram or whatever i add.

DO NOT THROW AWAY THOSE CDs UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

You don't need them unless the 'Book decides not to boot from anything else, but if you don't have them and you have a problem, you're fxcked.
