From what I understand you can upgrade the beige g3 plenty but as for the cost effectivness of it is another story as I have one myself that I was wanting to upgrade but I dunno if it would be worth it as you can get a B/W g3 for what it would cost to upgrade the beige. If it is worth upgrading somone let me know.
