I have been using Macdraw since it first
came out and have literally thousands of
files. It is very unstable on system 9, so I
am looking for an updated program.
Does it work better on system 10? I could
upgrade that, or is there a program that
can import the macdraw pro files, while
maintaining the layers and the scale?

I should think Appleworks or its
predecessor, Clarisworks, would cope
with it. MacDraw became the drawing
component of Clarisworks, so pretty
much all of the same features are
available, plus a few extra that were
added over time. Upgrading to OS X
probably wouldn't help, since MacDraw
would still have to run in the Classic
environment, which is OS 9.

Actually, I've heard MacDraw Pro works great in Classic on OS X, despite its instability on a real OS 9 system...
