unknown problem with the CD

hi,
I have a Q4 quicksilver (733MHz).
Reacently i rtarted using OSX (10.2.8). when i turned on the computer today i saw there is a dick in the CD-RW drive. i took it out. after about 30 sec. it opend again so i closed it and again 30sec it opened. so i restarted. it open again on restart. i tried inserting a disk and notheing showed on the desktop. i tried using toast and the program hanged up.
so i tried rebooting to OS9.2.2 to see if it's only a problem in X. the drive continue to open and the system is not dully loaded well all the icons and desktop comes up but i can't click on anything!!. and the drive keeps openning! after i colse it!.

what can i do ????
how can i go back to OSX? what's happenning to my computer????

plase help!
