I've changed the 3.6v battery, yet it doesn't start-up on the 1st attempt, always need to reset the inside button next to the battery. Then it would start-up with a default Date & Time setting as 1/1/1970. Change to actual Date & Time and shut down. It still doesn't start-up again on the 1st attempt from the keyboard button or the front panel. Can never be able to stat-up on the 1st attempt. Can someone help me to solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the new battery is bad, or you have a bad Pram
chip.

Battery is brand new,it can only restart after pressing from the inside button next to the battery. There after everythings seem to be OK! Once shut down, it wouldn't start at the 1st press of the button.

You might want to try resetting your PRAM by holding down
the 'P', 'R', Option and Command (Open-Apple) keys together
while booting the computer. This will reset the parameter
RAM which holds a lot of the settings for the computer. If
that doesn't work, I'm not sure what else to suggest. You
might want to search http://www.apple.com/support/ for
your problem. Someone else might have had the same
problem you are having now and hopefully a solution is
posted from Apple or another user.

Good luck!

Setting PRAM doesn't help. Totally no response. Queer! why press the cuda button once, then either press once on keyboard or front panel the computer would start up. Really do understand why?
