Reply: (edit)Well, my understanding is that a PCI card is a PCI card...but the driver needs to be specific to Mac or PC (because it's software...) However, I'm not sure that the Umax is a PCI computer...have you checked out that avenue?

Reply: (edit)yes pci is pci and all you ned is the right software to run the card pci cards that giv you usb or firewire will work in pc's or mac's you just need drivers. asfar as getting your promise card to work in a mac you need the drivers from vst they take the promise cards repakage them and add drivers for the mac.

Reply: (edit)The Promise card is identical to the VST/SmartDisk UltraTek 66 that is made for mac, but the Promise card does not have the firmware that the VST card has that makes the Mac recognize it - so the answer is no, it won't work - but it won't damage your computer, either!
